Glansit Akihabara sits just steps from Akihabara Station (JR and metro), giving direct access to Ueno, Shinjuku, and Narita via the Keisei Skyliner. Haneda Airport is a 40-minute train ride via Tokyo Monorail and Yamanote Line. The immediate area is dense with electronics stores, anime shops, Don Quijote, and dozens of casual restaurants within a 2-block radius. Despite the lively neighbourhood, the hotel is tucked behind the main street, keeping the capsule floors notably quiet. For guests arriving by car or needing a shuttle, note that neither parking nor an airport transfer is available.

All capsules include a single bed (hard futon-style mattress), TV, electrical outlet, USB terminal, and a small fan - though airflow inside the capsule can be limited and the space can feel warm. Standard capsules sit next to each other in a shared sleeping hall with a pull-down curtain for privacy; noise from neighbours moving and snoring is common. Superior capsules offer a lockable private room with enough height to stand, a mini desk, and a personal locker that fits large luggage. Shared bathrooms are on separate floors and consist of open shower stalls (no partition) and toilets. Showers are communal onsen-style, with body soap, shampoo, and hair dryers provided. The sleeping area is kept dark and quiet outside of daytime cleaning (10:00-17:00). Rooms have carpeted floors, air conditioning, and heating.

Breakfast is served as a simple set (toast, salad, boiled egg or yogurt, plus a hot drink) when selected upon booking. The hotel does not have a kitchen or restaurant, so all other meals must be sourced nearby - an advantage given the dozens of ramen, gyukatsu, and kaiten-sushi places within a 2-minute walk. The ground-floor lounge area provides free hot drinks (matcha, coffee, tea) and a microwave, making it easy to eat convenience-store food on-site.

The communal bath is located on a lower floor and offers a large hot tub with both seated and standing shower positions. Changing rooms include lockers, free body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and face wash. The bath is popular after a long day exploring; its open layout means ambient humidity and warmth can drift into the adjacent lounge. There is no spa, gym, or swimming pool on site. The lounge on the same floor provides comfortable seating, free drinks, and magazines.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. Luggage can be stored free of charge before check-in and after check-out; lockers (48x32x85 cm) are provided on each floor, and larger items can be left at the front desk. Laundry machines (washer/dryer) are available on site. The single elevator serves all floors and can require 5-10 minutes of waiting during peak times; stairs are emergency-only. The reception offers a lost-and-found shipping service via FedEx (collect-on-payment). Cards accepted: American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, UnionPay, and MasterCard.
