GUEST HOUSE FIDARDO, Rome

The guest house sits on a quiet street close to the city centre, within easy walking distance of the main train station, metro lines, and several bus stops. Major landmarks such as Villa Borghese and Piazza Barberini are also reachable on foot. The neighbourhood is considered safe and has many affordable restaurants and supermarkets nearby. For airport transfers, the shuttle service offers a convenient paid option.

Double, twin/double, triple and family rooms are available, all with a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Rooms include air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, wardrobe, tiled floor, and a view of the inner courtyard. Many rooms also have a fridge. While rooms are described as compact by some, they are practical for sightseeing trips. Beds are on the firmer side, and pillows are also firm; this may not suit all sleepers. Daily cleaning is provided, and rooms are kept tidy. Some rooms have a more dated appearance than the photos suggest.

The on-site restaurant 'Ristorante #1' serves traditional Italian cuisine including gluten-free options for lunch and dinner. For breakfast, guests receive a voucher for the restaurant located 100 metres away; the breakfast is simple but adequate, with both Italian (pastries, coffee) and American (eggs, bacon) options available. Guests staying at the guest house receive a 50% discount on all other meals at the restaurant. The restaurant itself has a welcoming atmosphere and offers wine and champagne at an extra charge.

The property does not have a pool, spa, or gym. For leisure, the location allows easy walks to many of Rome's attractions. Organised bike tours, walking tours, and cultural classes are available nearby but at an additional charge.

The guest house offers free WiFi in all rooms and common areas. Reception is not staffed 24 hours, but check-in is possible via WhatsApp for late arrivals. Luggage storage is provided at an extra charge. Daily housekeeping is included, and ironing service and grocery deliveries can be arranged for a fee. A paid shuttle service covers airport transfers and local transport tickets. Safety features include CCTV, fire extinguishers, and key card access. The building has a lift.
