HAMPTON BY HILTON MUNICH CITY NORTH, Munich

The hotel sits in a practical, less touristy neighbourhood with a supermarket and fast-food options within walking distance. The nearest bus stop is at Ingolstädterstrasse, providing direct connections to the U2 metro line. From the U2, the city centre can be reached in about 25 minutes (single fare from the hotel to Munich Central Station is approximately 3.90 EUR). Munich Central Station (HBF) is 6 km away and takes 20-25 minutes by public transport. For drivers, the A8 highway is close, making it a convenient stopover. Key attractions near the hotel include MOC München (3 km), the BMW Museum (5 km), and the English Garden (7 km). The Allianz Arena is also easily accessible by U-Bahn. The area itself is quiet, with limited nightlife, but the proximity to the U2 line makes exploring the city straightforward.

All rooms feature air conditioning, though some units have reported noise from the system. Rooms are equipped with a kettle, tea and coffee making facilities, ironing board, and a safe. The soundproofing is generally effective, but noise from corridors and large groups can occasionally be heard. Double rooms have either one queen or two twin beds; triple rooms offer a double and a single; family rooms accommodate up to four guests with a mix of beds and a sofa bed. The sofa bed is described as firm and best suited for children, not adults. Rooms lack a refrigerator, minibar, and bottled water. Storage space is limited, with only a few hangers and a small shelf, so keeping suitcases accessible is recommended. Some rooms have had issues with mould smell or stained curtains, but overall cleanliness is maintained.

The breakfast buffet includes a wide variety: warm dishes, fresh waffles, pancakes, gluten-free bread, cereals, yogurts, and milk alternatives such as soy milk. A to-go coffee and tea option is available for early departures, and lunchboxes can be requested at reception. The breakfast area shares the lobby space, which can become crowded during peak hours, particularly with larger groups. The buffet selection is generally well-regarded for its variety, though quality and replenishment speed can vary. The on-site coffee shop is open during the day, but the bar may close unpredictably. Several casual dining options are within a 10-minute walk, including L'Angolo, Hans im Glück, and a McDonald's.

The fitness centre is complimentary and open 24/7, providing a practical option for staying active. It includes cardio and weight-training machines. There is no pool, sauna, or spa on the property. The hotel does not have a dedicated leisure area, but the lobby lounge offers comfortable seating and a modern atmosphere for relaxing or informal meetings.
