THE WANDER HOTEL BY WYNDHAM, Gatlinburg

The Wander Hotel is situated in the heart of the Gatlinburg strip, directly across from the convention center. Ober Gatlinburg is just a 2-minute walk away, and Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is less than 1 km. Numerous dining options-including Cherokee Grill, Flapjack's Pancake Cabin, and Slice Pizza Bakery-are within a 5-minute walk. Dolly Parton's Stampede is 11 km away, and Dollywood is 13 km. The location is ideal for those who want to park once and explore everything on foot.

The hotel offers a range of room configurations including suites with separate bedrooms, quad rooms with 2-3 beds, and spacious double rooms. Rooms are equipped with a tea and coffee maker, mini-fridge, microwave, hairdryer, free toiletries, flat-screen TV with satellite channels, and a work desk. Sofa beds and outdoor seating areas are available in some units. It is worth noting that rooms may have a dimly lit sink area, and some windows lack effective blackout curtains. The bathrooms generally have bathtubs, with low water pressure reported in some rooms, and certain rooms have the sink located outside the bathroom. Carpeting varies in condition between rooms.

Breakfast typically includes scrambled eggs, sausage patties, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, and toast. Coffee and juice are also available. The breakfast area can become crowded, and food may not be replenished quickly late in the morning. There is no restaurant on site, but numerous dining options are within a 5-minute walk along the strip.

The indoor pool is open year-round, while the outdoor pool operates seasonally. Pool hours are 9:00 AM to 10:30 PM (indoor) and until 10:00 PM (outdoor). The hot tub is not currently operational. The indoor pool area may have limited space and can feel very warm due to the environment.

Free private parking is available on site without reservation, but the lot can fill up by the evening. Oversized vehicles may not fit in the garage. Wi-Fi is free in all rooms. The 24-hour front desk can assist with room upgrades and special requests. Daily housekeeping is available, though some rooms may experience incomplete service (trash removal only). Fax/photocopying is available for an additional charge. There are drink vending machines on property. The hotel has one ice machine for all buildings.
