The alley beside the hotel can have a strong odour, and the area sees a visible homeless population and occasional panhandling. Sirens and street noise are common, especially at night, though rooms on higher floors offer good views and some soundproofing. Arriving after dark may feel less secure; the key-card elevator access adds a layer of security inside the building.
