Hotel Hoksbergen occupies a 300-year-old canal house on the Singel, the oldest of Amsterdam's ring canals. The location is both central and peaceful: Dam Square, the Anne Frank House, and the lively 9 Streets shopping area are all within a 5-10 minute walk. For public transport, Metro 52 from Station Zuid stops at Rokin, a 5-minute walk away, and Central Station is a 15-minute walk. The hotel is car-free; no parking is available on site, but public garages are nearby. The area is walkable for sightseeing, and trams run along nearby streets for longer journeys.

All rooms include a private bathroom with shower and toilet, free Wi-Fi, and are non-smoking. The double rooms (standard and small) feature a double bed, while the family room has bunk beds. Rooms are compact, especially the smaller double and single rooms; luggage space is limited. Canal-view rooms offer a picturesque outlook over the Singel, while rooms without a canal view face an interior wall. Some rooms include a TV and hairdryer. The historic building has steep stairs and no elevator-rooms are available from the first floor upward. The hotel can provide fans on request, as there is no air conditioning. Basic furnishings and heating are provided. Street-facing rooms may experience noise from the neighbourhood at night; rooms on the quieter side are available upon request.

Breakfast is included for all reservations and is available from 8:30 to 11:00 in the breakfast room with canal views. The spread includes fresh croissants, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juice, and a coffee machine. Free coffee and tea are also available in the communal area throughout the day. There is no restaurant on site for lunch or dinner, but the central location places dozens of restaurants and cafés within a short walk.

Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel free of charge. Luggage storage is offered before check-in and after check-out, allowing you to explore the city without bags. The reception is staffed during the day, and the team can assist with luggage and provide local recommendations. Self check-in and check-out use a key code system for flexibility.
