This central location puts most of Amsterdam's main attractions within a short walk - Dam Square, the canals, and the Jordaan district are all reachable on foot. Central Station is about 10 minutes away, giving direct rail and tram access to the rest of the city and a 15-minute train ride to the airport. Many restaurants, bars, and shops are immediately nearby. The surrounding area is busy, and some rooms facing the street can pick up outside noise. For car-free city exploration, the walkability is excellent.

Private rooms come with en-suite or private bathrooms, a flat-screen TV with streaming, a wardrobe, a safe, and a private entrance. Family rooms are available with either private or shared bathroom, and can sleep up to 5. Dormitory rooms (mixed or female-only) feature modern bunks with privacy curtains, a reading light, plug socket, and a large under-bed locker with a digital code lock. Towels and bed linen are provided. Some rooms are compact, with limited surface space; no daily housekeeping is standard. Rooms in the annex involve steep stairs. Noise from the street and other rooms can be noticeable.
