A large Albert Heijn supermarket is around the corner for groceries. The neighbourhood feels safe and is quiet enough for a good night's sleep, with a dedicated quiet-hours policy from 23:00. For car-free exploration, the tram stop outside provides easy access across the city, and the hostel offers free bicycle parking.

Private room options include Double Superior and Deluxe rooms (en-suite with walk-in shower), and Shabby Cabins (shared bathroom) which are located on the ground floor. Some private rooms offer canal or river views and include a seating area and complimentary wine. Dormitories include female-only (7 beds) and mixed dorms (8 or 12 beds). Beds in dorms have individual lights and USB charging points; some dorms have curtains for privacy, others do not. No rooms have a balcony. Beds are generally described as comfortable, though some dorm mattresses have been noted as worn. Some rooms lack an external window - the 'window' may face an internal common area, reducing natural light. Road-facing rooms or those near communal spaces can be noisier; a quiet-hours rule from 23:00 helps, but pipe noise is audible in some rooms. Air conditioning and heating are available.
