The property is in the heart of Kowloon, opposite iSQUARE mall and a 2-3 minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. Direct bus routes include the A21 (airport, 45-60 min) with a stop at Middle Road, 30 seconds away. The Airport Express train takes 20 minutes to Kowloon station, from where a short MTR ride connects to Tsim Sha Tsui. The building's ground floor is a busy market of Indian shops and food stalls; vendors may approach visitors. The escalators and lifts are shared with dozens of other guest houses in the same building, and waiting times can reach 10-30 minutes during busy periods. Access to the guest house is via Lift E to the 6th floor. The surrounding area offers numerous restaurants, a 24-hour McDonald's two streets away, and the Avenue of Stars and Star Ferry within a 10-minute walk. A night bus (N21) operates to the airport for late departures.

Room types include single (1 bed), double (1 bed), twin/triple (2 beds), and family rooms (sleeps up to 4 adults and 1 child). All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink, hairdryer, slippers, and free toiletries. Rooms are very small, with limited space for luggage; some have no windows. Bed sizes are standard double/twin, though larger visitors may find the beds short. Soundproofing is limited: internal noise from the corridor, other rooms, and the outside building bell can be audible, especially near the reception. Air conditioning units can be noisy. Some rooms face the corridor, which can be less quiet. The family room has two beds and is suitable for families who primarily need a place to sleep. Rooms are generally clean and well-maintained for the price category, with good-quality towels and sheets. An international power strip is provided. Daily housekeeping is available upon request.

There is no dedicated restaurant, bar, or café at the property. The Chungking Mansions building itself contains numerous Indian restaurants and street-food stalls on the ground and first floors. Within a 300-metre radius are The Sweet Dynasty, Felix, Gaylord Indian Restaurant, Khyber Pass Mess Club, Delaney's Kowloon Irish Bar, and Grove Sandwiches. A 24-hour McDonald's is a two-minute walk away. Guests wishing to prepare their own food will find a refrigerator in each room but no kitchen facilities. A drinking water dispenser is available free of charge in the hallway.
