SHIBUYA TOBU HOTEL, Tokyo

The hotel sits just far enough from the busiest intersections to offer a quieter nighttime environment while keeping all major Shibuya attractions, shopping (Parco, Muji, Loft), and dining within a 5-10 minute walk. Harajuku and Omotesando are a 15-minute stroll away, and Yoyogi Park is 10 minutes on foot. The walk from Shibuya Station is mostly flat but includes a slight uphill section with luggage; the airport limousine bus stops at nearby hotels and Shibuya Station (about 10 minutes on foot). FamilyMart is right next door, and numerous restaurants and cafés (including a Starbucks on the corner) are steps away. Taxis are available directly in front of the hotel.

All rooms feature a clean, contemporary style with private bathroom (bathtub and shower), air purifier, electric kettle, hairdryer, slippers and free toiletries. Single and semi-double rooms are very compact and best suited for solo travellers or short stays; twin and triple rooms provide noticeably more floor space, making it easier to open large suitcases. Some rooms have windows with limited opening (a few centimetres) and frosted glass offering no view, which can affect natural light and ventilation. Road-facing rooms and floors near the school can experience street and playground noise during daytime. Soundproofing between rooms is relatively thin. In winter the central heating is on and cannot be switched to cooling; opening the window slightly is the only way to cool the room. Daily housekeeping is provided. There are no wardrobes in many rooms - storage is limited. No in-room safe is provided.

Pronto (カフェ&バー[プロント]) serves breakfast from 06:30 (last orders before 09:00) with a choice between a Japanese set (rice, fish, egg) or a Western set (toast, fried egg, bacon, small salad, soup). The breakfast set is predetermined, not buffet-style. The same venue also offers pasta and other items for lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. The hotel also houses a restaurant/bar (She Wolf Diner) serving lunch and dinner. A coffee house is on-site for coffee and snacks throughout the day. Numerous independent restaurants, including Ivorish (French toast), Genki Sushi, and Uobei, are within a 5-minute walk. Vending machines for drinks are available on each floor.

The only wellness facility is massage, bookable at an extra cost through the hotel. There is no swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna or spa. Guests looking for a workout or full spa day will need to find facilities elsewhere in Shibuya. The hotel is close to Yoyogi Park (10-minute walk), which offers jogging paths and open space.

The 24-hour reception can assist with luggage storage (free on the day of check-in/out), currency exchange, and taxi calls. A luggage forwarding service via Yamato is available - the hotel can ship luggage to Narita Airport (allow 2 days) or to a next hotel. Coin-operated laundry (2 washers and 2 dryers) is on the 2nd floor, open from 08:00 to 22:00; detergent can be purchased at the lobby. The hotel also offers a trouser press for free use, and daily housekeeping is included. Meeting/banquet facilities and fax/photocopying are available for an additional charge. There is a designated smoking area on the 1st floor, and the property is entirely non-smoking elsewhere. Safety features include key card access, CCTV, smoke alarms and 24-hour security.
