Hotel Details

Location

One mile from Fort Jackson Army Base and close to I-77, the hotel is 7-10 minutes from Columbia Airport and 8 km from downtown Columbia.

Situated just off Interstate 77, the property is less than 2 km from the Fort Jackson gate, making it a practical base for military ceremonies. Columbia Metropolitan Airport is a 7-10 minute drive, and Riverbanks Zoo is 20 minutes away. The University of South Carolina and city centre shops and dining are within 8 km. Several restaurants - including Waffle House, Pizza Hut, Applebee's, and Hickory Tavern - are within walking distance. The lot is well-lit and secure, accommodating large vehicles. The immediate area is a mix of commercial and roadside development, with easy interstate access and key attractions reachable by car.

Dining

A complimentary hot breakfast buffet is served daily until 9:30 AM. No restaurant is on site; a snack bar and vending machines are available.

The breakfast buffet includes scrambled eggs, omelets, pancakes (via a machine), cinnamon rolls, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, and coffee. Service runs from approximately 6:30 to 9:30 AM; arriving early ensures the widest variety. Quality is typical for a complimentary hotel breakfast, though some items may run out and not be restocked. The pancake maker and warm cinnamon rolls are popular. There is no on-site restaurant or bar, but a minimarket stocks snacks and drinks, and vending machines are available. For full meals, several chain restaurants - including Waffle House, Pizza Hut, Applebee's, and Hickory Tavern - are within a short walk or drive.

Leisure

Indoor heated swimming pool (10 AM-10 PM) and a free fitness centre. The pool is open year-round but subject to occasional maintenance closures.

The indoor pool is heated and open daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Towels are provided, though availability can be limited. Water temperature can be inconsistent - warm when the heater is working, but sometimes too cold for comfortable use. The pool area can become busy, and cleanliness has varied. The fitness centre offers basic cardio and strength equipment at no charge; some machines show wear and cleaning has been irregular. A guest laundry room (additional fee) is adjacent to the gym. No spa, sauna, or other wellness services are available. Because the pool has been closed for maintenance at times without prior notice, travellers for whom swimming is essential should confirm current status with the hotel before booking.
