RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT BOSTON CAMBRIDGE, Cambridge

The hotel is situated in the heart of Cambridge, just a few minutes' walk from MIT and Harvard University. Downtown Boston and its museums and attractions are 2 km away, easily accessible via the nearby Red Line at Kendall/MIT station, which is only 100 metres from the hotel. Logan International Airport is 9 km away. The neighbourhood is described as safe and walkable, with numerous cafés, restaurants, and a supermarket within a few blocks. For car-free travel, the subway provides efficient access to central Boston and surrounding areas. Note that there are large construction projects directly across the street, which can cause noise starting early in the morning; rooms on upper floors and away from the street are recommended for light sleepers.

Guest rooms are spacious suites with a separate living area, featuring a double sofa bed, a work desk, and a flat-screen TV with streaming services. The fully equipped kitchen includes a stovetop, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, cookware, and a tea and coffee maker. Room types range from studios to one-bedroom suites, with the latter offering a separate bedroom for added privacy. Air conditioning and heating are standard, though some report the HVAC can be noisy. Private bathrooms include a bath or shower and a hairdryer. The hotel has no rooms with a balcony or river view. Upper-floor rooms typically offer quieter conditions and better views. The suites are well-suited for longer stays and families, with cribs and high chairs available on request.

A daily hot breakfast buffet is included, offering American staples such as eggs, porridge, yoghurt, fresh fruit, nuts, and do-it-yourself waffles. The breakfast area is spacious, and the staff are attentive at keeping it stocked and clean. In the evenings, the on-site bar and snack bar serve drinks and light food; a $25 daily Destination Fee credit can be used here. For additional options, a Starbucks is directly adjacent to the hotel and opens at 5 AM, and there are numerous restaurants and cafés within a short walk, including Dumpling Daughter, Meadhall, and Clover. The hotel also offers grocery delivery service for a surcharge.

The fitness centre is accessible 24 hours a day with a room key, providing modern equipment for a workout. Bicycle rental is available, allowing guests to explore Cambridge and the nearby Harvard and MIT campuses easily. There is a shared lounge and TV area for relaxation.
