HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS AMSTERDAM - SLOTERDIJK STATION BY IHG, Amsterdam

Sloterdijk is a major transport hub with train, metro, tram, and bus services right outside the hotel. Amsterdam's historic centre is reachable by train in about 6 minutes, while Schiphol Airport is just 10 minutes away by rail. The famous Vondelpark is 4 km away, and the Westergasfabriek cultural venue is 3 km from the hotel. A supermarket (Spar) and several casual dining options-including a pizza place and a grill-are located on the ground floor or within a short walk. The area around the station is well-connected and feels modern, though some side streets can attract loitering in the evening; most visitors find the immediate hotel environs safe and well-lit, with 24-hour reception and CCTV coverage providing reassurance.

Leisure options are limited to the shared lounge/TV area and the on-site bar. The hotel offers bicycle rental for exploring the city (first 24 hours €16, subsequent days €14). Cycling is a popular way to reach the city centre (about 20 minutes by bike). The surrounding area includes a park and walking routes, but there are no significant recreational facilities within the hotel itself.

The hotel provides free daily housekeeping, with a guest option to skip daily service in exchange for a complimentary drink at the bar. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for a fee. The 24-hour front desk can arrange early check-in (fee applies), express check-in/out, and luggage storage (free). A minimarket sells toiletries and snacks. The property is fully non-smoking, with air conditioning and heating provided via a climate-control system. Accessibility features include wheelchair-accessible rooms, a lift, and bathrooms with grab rails and emergency cords. Parking is available in an on-site garage at €35 per day-reservation is not needed. No airport shuttle is provided, but the train station is immediately adjacent for easy airport transfers.
