The hotel sits on a busy central street with shops, restaurants, and nightlife. Central Station is a 5-minute walk away, providing direct train, tram, and metro connections across the city and to the airport. Dam Square, Kalverstraat shopping street, the Nine Streets, the Jordaan district, and Anne Frank House are all within a 5-minute walk. The location is excellent for walking to all major attractions, but the street can be very crowded and noisy, especially on lower floors facing the road. Luggage storage is free for early arrivals or late departures, making it easy to explore without bags.

Room quality and size vary greatly: higher star ratings generally mean larger rooms and better views. Some rooms are very compact, with limited space for luggage and storage, and may lack wardrobes or drawers. Many rooms have city views, but some face interior courtyards or walls. Air conditioning is available in all rooms, and bedding is changed daily. Road-facing rooms can be noisy, while some interior rooms are quiet. A few rooms have balconies (only in deluxe and suite categories). Some rooms have windows that do not open fully or open to interior corridors. Room 605 is the only one fully accessible without stairs after the lift.

The hotel does not have a restaurant, bar, or spa. The café Stock, located next to the hotel, serves coffee, breakfast, and lunch, but is only open during the day. Many restaurants, cafés, and fast-food options are within a 2-minute walk on the same street, offering a wide variety of cuisines including halal, Italian, Argentinian, and burgers. For breakfast, guests typically eat at nearby cafés. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are available in the hotel.

The hotel does not have a swimming pool, spa, or wellness centre. For leisure, guests rely on the city's attractions: the hotel is within walking distance of canal cruises, museums, shopping streets, and the historic centre. The hotel's own café and a 24-hour reception provide basic refreshments. The hotel's location is its primary leisure asset.
