IBIS STYLES AMSTERDAM CENTRAL STATION, Amsterdam

The Martelaarsgracht tram stop is outside the hotel, providing direct connections to Museum Square, including the Rijksmuseum, within minutes. Dam Square and Chinatown are a 10-minute walk, while the Rembrandthuis Museum is a 15-minute stroll away. The surrounding area is packed with restaurants, cafes, and shops. Rooms facing the street can experience tram noise from early morning, so light sleepers may prefer an inner-courtyard room. The hotel is well-suited for travellers relying on public transport or exploring the city centre on foot.

All rooms feature air conditioning, heating, a private bathroom with a shower and hairdryer, and an electric kettle for tea and coffee. A safe, wardrobe, and carpeted floor are standard. Room sizes are generally small, especially for two people, and storage space is limited to hanging clothes only - no drawers. Bathrooms are compact, and the shower design can cause water to spill onto the floor. Some rooms offer street views with city sights, while others face an inner courtyard or a wall, resulting in limited natural light. Noise from the street, tram, and neighbouring rooms is common; inner-courtyard rooms are quieter but darker. Air conditioning can be loud. Beds receive mixed reports - some find them comfortable, others note the mattress is worn or squeaky. Windows can be opened in some rooms but often face other windows or walls.

Breakfast is available for EUR 18 per person and includes a buffet with bread, pastries, hot and cold dishes, and good coffee. Guests with coeliac disease can request a limited gluten-free option. The breakfast area can fill up, so reserving a time slot is recommended. For lunch, the same restaurant offers light meals. Free coffee, tea, and fresh fruit are available in the lobby throughout the day. The surrounding streets provide numerous cafes and restaurants within a two-minute walk for those who prefer alternative dining.
