The hotel sits at the top of the Clifton Hill incline, placing the main attractions within easy walking distance downhill. The return walk uphill is steeper, but manageable. Free parking is available on-site, a major advantage in a district where parking can cost $15-35 per night. The Skylon Tower is literally next door, and the Fallsview Casino is across the street. The WeGo bus service provides a useful alternative for covering longer distances. The area is safe for solo walkers even after dark.

All rooms feature air conditioning, heating, ironing facilities, and a private bathroom with a hairdryer and toiletries. Floors are tile rather than carpet, which helps with cleanliness but can feel less warm. Room sizes are spacious, with comfortable beds, though some mattresses have been noted as worn. A microwave is available on the 2nd floor for guest use. The Executive King Room offers a jacuzzi tub and a skylight, while the Deluxe King Room has a large rainfall shower with a steam room. Lower-floor rooms near the elevator and back parking lot can be noisy; the 6th floor (king rooms) is quieter. Road-facing rooms may also pick up noise from the casino area. Rooms with a sofa bed seat near the elevator and are noisier. Bed type preference cannot be guaranteed and is allocated on arrival.
