The hostal sits in a lively neighbourhood with numerous cafes, bars, and restaurants within a few blocks. Parallel station connects directly to Plaça Catalunya and the airport via line L9 and L3. The funicular to Montjuïc Park leaves from the same station. Walking distance to the Gothic Quarter, the port, and the beach. Supermarkets and fresh produce vendors are nearby. The area is well-served by buses and metro, making it easy to explore all of Barcelona. Note that some streets can be noisy at night due to a nearby nightclub and occasional roadworks.

Each room has a window that opens; some overlook the interior courtyard and receive limited natural light. Rooms with balconies are available upon request. Some rooms include a fridge and in-room safe. Private bathroom rooms feature a shower. Shared bathrooms are spacious and cleaned daily. There is no desk or chair in most rooms, but a side table can be provided. Daily cleaning is standard; towels and linen are changed regularly. Mattress firmness varies, and some bed springs may be noisy. Noise can be a challenge due to thin walls and street activity; rooms away from the street are quieter. Light sleepers should consider earplugs. Only a few rooms have air conditioning; heating is available in all. Accommodations are basic but clean and functional, ideal for travellers prioritising location and value.

Meals are not provided on site. The common area offers a microwave, kettle, cups, spoons, teabags, and sugar for basic hot drinks and snacks. Vending machines dispense drinks and snacks at 1€ per item. The surrounding streets have a wide selection of cafes, tapas bars, and restaurants within a short walk. Las Ramblas, 10 minutes away, concentrates many dining choices. Plan meals off-site unless opting for vending machine snacks.

No wellness facilities are available on site. The hostal's strength lies in its location: Montjuïc Park and the Magic Fountains are a 20-minute walk, the beach and port are within walking distance, and the funicular to Montjuïc is steps away from Parallel station.
