Anton Martin metro station is two minutes away, and Atocha train station is about 10 minutes on foot, providing direct rail and bus links to the airport. The neighbourhood is dense with tapas bars, restaurants, and supermarkets. Note that the Anton Martin metro station has stairs and no lift, so bus routes or taxis may be more practical for those with heavy luggage. The surrounding streets are lively until late, but upper-floor rooms on Calle Atocha benefit from double glazing and shutters.

Room sizes vary significantly: rooms on the Calle Atocha side with a balcony tend to be more spacious and brighter, while interior-facing rooms or compact layouts can feel small and dark due to courtyard windows with limited natural light. All rooms include a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Some double rooms feature a balcony overlooking the street, which is recommended for those wanting daylight. Larger quadruple rooms are available with four beds. Noise between rooms can be an issue due to thin walls, so light sleepers may prefer a street-side room with better soundproofing or a top-floor option. Beds are comfortable with fresh linen and pillows. Mini-fridges and desks are standard; some rooms have a small kitchenette.

Breakfast is served daily and includes a variety of breads, pastries, fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheese, eggs, yoghurt, and juice. The offer is basic but adequate for a city day; replenishment is prompt. Its core leisure value is its central location: Retiro Park and the botanical gardens are within 15 minutes on foot, and the main museums are even closer. Many bars, live music venues, and cultural attractions are reachable on foot, making this a practical base for active city exploration.
