HOSTAL JENTOFT, Seville

Hostal Jentoft sits across from Plaza de Armas, Seville's main bus station with direct airport bus (line EA) from stop 85. The property is a 20-minute walk to the Cathedral and Alcázar and within 30 minutes to Plaza de España. Triana's charm, market stalls, and riverside cafés are 10 minutes away. Several supermarkets (Mercadona and MAS) are within a 5-minute walk, and the Guadalquivir riverbank park is immediately outside. Parking is available on-site for €15/day, but using the secure garage avoids car navigation into the tight city centre. Reception staff provide maps and can arrange taxis.

Rooms are private - no shared bathrooms or dormitories. Each has air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom with shower, bidet, and sink. Wardrobe space is limited, and some rooms have only one power socket near the bed. Rooms facing the inner courtyard or the road vary in natural light; ground-floor rooms may have no daylight. Rooms above ground level are accessible by lift (older model). Triple rooms and family rooms with extra beds are available. The apartment includes a kitchen, but using it incurs a €20/night surcharge with a 3-night minimum. Street-facing rooms can be noisy; a room at the back is quieter. For a short stay with daytime sightseeing, the basic setup is adequate, but light sleepers should bring earplugs.

The continental breakfast (€4) includes a hot drink, a juice, a toast (with tomato or olive oil), and a choice of fruit, pastry, or yogurt. The breakfast area operates from 08:00 to 11:00. For €4 it provides a basic morning meal, but no hot eggs or full buffet are offered. For a fuller selection, the surrounding area has many cafés and bars within a 3-minute walk - La Salmoreteca and La Paella Sevilla at 0.5 km. Gluten-free meals can be requested in advance for an additional cost. Eating in rooms is not permitted. The coffee vending machine offers drinks outside breakfast hours. Luggage storage is free, so breakfast timing can be flexible if staff prepare a takeaway bag upon request.

Hostal Jentoft is a basic guesthouse with no leisure facilities such as a gym, spa, pool, or games room. The riverside park (50 metres away) provides open space for walks and jogging. The nearby Guadalquivir riverbank is popular for evening strolls and connects directly to Triana and the historic centre. The property's own leisure offering is limited, but the location compensates with easy access to Seville's cultural and recreational landmarks within a 15-30 minute walk.
