Placed directly on Plaça Catalunya, the hotel is a two-minute walk from the Aerobus airport stop, making it a smart choice for early departures or late arrivals. The metro station upstairs connects across the city, while Las Ramblas, the Gothic Cathedral, and the Palau de la Música are all within a 7-minute walk. Gaudí's La Pedrera and Casa Batlló are reachable in 20 minutes on foot. The area buzzes with restaurants, cafés and nightlife; during the day it is busy and safe, though pickpockets operate around the square. Driving is not practical as there is no parking, but nearly all attractions are within walking distance.

The hotel offers a variety of room types: interior rooms (single, double) which are very quiet as they have no street views or windows that open onto a lightwell, and street-facing double rooms with views of Plaça Catalunya or Montjuïc. Some double rooms include a balcony overlooking the square - these are the most desirable and the only ones with a balcony. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, air conditioning and heating, though a few budget rooms lack air conditioning. Private bathrooms are available in most room categories; the most economical rooms share two toilets with up to seven rooms. The family room on the top floor has three separate rooms (two doubles and a single), two bathrooms and a kitchenette - it is the largest layout. Some rooms (including some double and family rooms) do not include daily cleaning service. Sound insulation is minimal; interior rooms are quieter but street-facing rooms can be noisy from traffic and nightlife. Rooms are compact, so the location is best for travellers who plan to spend most of their time out exploring.

The hotel does not have a restaurant or bar. A drinks vending machine is available for refreshments. Breakfast may be offered as an add-on depending on the rate chosen - check during booking. For other meals, the surrounding area has a wide range of restaurants, including Hard Rock Cafe, Raco del Nuria, Burger King and the famous 4 Gats, all within a 3- to 5-minute walk. The hotel's prime location means no need to go far for food. Guests who prefer to make tea or coffee in-room should note that there are no in-room facilities for this.

There are no wellness facilities such as a swimming pool, spa, sauna or fitness centre on the property. The hotel's value lies in its location, making it a base for walking or using public transport to reach the city's attractions, beaches and parks. The main leisure activity is urban exploration - Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, the beach (about 20 minutes on foot) and cultural sites are all easily accessible.
