The French Quarter is 5 km away - easily reached via the streetcar stop at the end of the block. Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is 18 km from the property; no airport shuttle is available, but a third-party airport shuttle service (nolaairportshuttle.com) can be used. Free street parking is available all around the hostel, and the immediate area has several dining options within 0.5 km, including Tacos and Beer, St. Charles Tavern, and Cafe Porche and Snowbar. The neighbourhood is considered safe for walking.

Accommodation options include mixed and female-only dormitories with bunk beds, a private double room with a queen bed and private bathroom on the third floor (stairs only), and a private apartment with one bedroom and four bunk beds plus a living room and bath. Dorms use lockers (bring your own lock or purchase one for $8). Bunk beds can be noisy, and the AC units may be loud; rooms away from common areas tend to be quieter. A fan, towels, and linens are included in every room. The private apartment offers more space and a separate living area. There are no rooms with a balcony. Daily housekeeping is free.

No breakfast is provided, and there is no on-site restaurant or bar. The shared kitchen is available for all guests to use at any time, and the garden and terrace include picnic tables and a BBQ area.
