HOTEL CENTER 3, Rome

The hotel sits in a lively area near Porta Maggiore, with excellent transport links: the metro, tram stops, and bus routes are all within a short walk, making it easy to reach the historic centre and both Rome airports. The immediate neighbourhood has several restaurants, convenience stores, and a supermarket, but some side streets can feel run-down and busy with traffic. A tram stop right around the corner provides direct access to the city centre, while Termini station is 15 minutes away on foot. The Colosseum is a 25-minute walk or a short tram ride. For those arriving by shuttle bus, Ciampino Airport is 13 km from the property.

Rooms at Hotel Center 3 are equipped with air conditioning, heating, a flat-screen TV, a safe, an electric kettle, and a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, and free toiletries. Some rooms open onto a narrow balcony with views of the city, while others overlook the street and can be prone to traffic noise, especially on weekends - light sleepers should request a quieter room away from the road. The rooms are described as compact and basic; some are small, particularly the bathrooms, which can be very tight. A few rooms have been recently renovated, but furnishings in others may appear dated, with worn surfaces or minor maintenance issues. Daily housekeeping is provided, towels are changed each day, and the lift serves all floors.

The breakfast is a self-service continental buffet offering bread/toast, croissants, butter, jam, cheese, ham, cereals, and a choice of hot drinks and juice. There is no hot food or fresh fruit, and the selection remains the same each day. For those who prefer a heartier or more varied meal, several pizzerias, trattorias, and casual restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk, many serving Italian cuisine for dinner. A coffee shop on site also sells takeaway drinks and snacks.

WiFi is free in public areas such as the lobby, but connectivity in upper-floor rooms can be weak or unreliable. The hotel provides a 24-hour reception, a lift, luggage storage (free for early arrivals and after checkout), daily housekeeping with towel changes, and express check-in and check-out. There is no on-site restaurant, bar, or laundry service. The property accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Maestro. Safety features include CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, key card access, and a safety deposit box at reception. A designated smoking area is available on the balcony for rooms that have one, but smoking is not permitted inside the rooms.
