HOTEL COSMOTEL MARAIS REPUBLIQUE PARIS, Paris

Hotel Cosmotel sits in a lively, multicultural neighbourhood on the Strasbourg-Saint Denis thoroughfare. The metro station of the same name is less than a minute on foot, providing direct lines to Invalides, Concorde, Opéra, République, Bastille, the Eiffel Tower, and Champs-Élysées. Gare de l'Est is 700 metres away and Gare du Nord 1 km, making regional and airport connections simple. Key sights such as the Pompidou Centre (1 km), Opéra, and department stores are a 15-20 minute walk. The area is packed with cafés, bakeries, restaurants, and a Lidl supermarket opposite the hotel. While the immediate street can feel busy and eclectic, the property itself is calm, and many rooms facing the courtyard offer a quiet retreat. The neighbourhood is well served by nightlife and dining, but solo travellers may prefer to keep to main streets after dark.

Breakfast consists of bread, pastries, butter, jam, Nutella, yogurt, cereal, hot drinks, and juice. It is a basic continental spread without hot items like eggs or meat. For guests who prefer a lighter or more substantial meal, the surrounding streets contain dozens of cafés, bakeries, and restaurants within a two-minute walk - including Bengali, pizza, and French cuisine. The hotel does not offer room service, bar, or evening dining. The front desk can point guests to nearby eateries that fit different tastes and budgets.

The hotel operates a 24-hour front desk, allowing late arrivals and early departures. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas. Luggage storage is provided at no extra charge, convenient for guests arriving before check-in or departing after check-out. Daily housekeeping includes bed-making and towel changes. Parking is private and located across the street; it must be reserved in advance and costs €18 per day - the ramp is steep and spaces are narrow, so large vehicles may struggle. The lift starts from the first floor; entrance to the hotel requires one flight of stairs (there is no ramp or lift from street level). Other facilities include fax/photocopying, a lift serving upper floors, and 24-hour security with smoke alarms and fire extinguishers. Cots are available on request. The hotel does not accept pets.
