HOTEL LUMIERE NISHIKASAI, Tokyo

Nishi-Kasai Station is a short walk away, placing the hotel on the Tozai Line for direct access to central Tokyo (approximately 20-30 minutes to Shinjuku, Ginza or Tokyo Station). Haneda Airport is a 25-minute drive, Tokyo Disney Resort is 18 minutes by car or a 15-minute walk to a direct bus stop, and Tokyo Sky Tree is 25 minutes away. The neighbourhood is peaceful at night, with a pharmacy, bookshop and numerous restaurants within a few blocks - including sushi, tonkatsu, Indian and Italian options within 0.5 km. A Family Mart convenience store is directly across the street.

Room types include single, double, twin, twin with an extra bed, and triple configurations. Many twin and triple rooms also include a combination washer/dryer and a kitchenette (kitchenette available upon request). The rooms are recently renovated, clean and spacious for Tokyo standards, with non-smoking and smoking options. Windows can be secured from opening but staff will unlock them on request. Pillows are firm; extra pillows are available. Some rooms on higher floors offer distant views of Tokyo Sky Tree or Tokyo Tower on clear days. Daily housekeeping is provided unless declined.

The breakfast buffet varies slightly each day, with a mix of Western and Japanese items including fresh bread, rice, soup, sausages, eggs and salad. A 24-hour hot drink machine in the lobby provides free coffee, tea and hot chocolate. There is no restaurant on-site for other meals, but a vending machine offers drinks and snacks. The surrounding area has a wide choice of restaurants - within a five-minute walk you can find sushi, tonkatsu, Indian, Italian and Japanese home-style cooking, plus a Family Mart and supermarkets.

In-room massages can be arranged for an additional fee through the front desk. For outdoor activity, a large bay park is within walking distance, offering walking paths and open space. There is no swimming pool, spa, sauna or fitness centre at the property.

WiFi is free throughout. The 24-hour front desk can assist with luggage storage (free, and can forward luggage to another location). Coin-operated laundry (and ironing/trouser press) are available, and the front desk sells detergent packets. An elevator and wheelchair-accessible rooms with toilet grab rails are provided. There is no on-site parking and no airport shuttle. Accepted payment includes American Express, Visa, JCB and MasterCard. Staff are friendly and helpful, with some English spoken.
