Hotel Tabiya sits in the quiet residential area of Naka-Itabashi, a 12-minute walk from Hikawa Shrine and 15 minutes from Happy Road Ohyama Shopping Street. The Toki line connects directly to Ikebukuro, which opens up the Yamanote loop and express trains to Shinjuku, Shibuya, Ueno, and Narita/Haneda airports (via Ikebukuro). The surrounding streets are safe, bicycle-friendly, and lined with small shops, supermarkets, and restaurants that give a local feel without the crowds of central Tokyo. 30 km from Haneda Airport; allow 50-60 minutes by train from either airport via Ikebukuro.

Rooms are configured with two 120 x 200cm single beds - one standard, one in a loft position above - each with a comfortable mattress, pillows, and bedding. The layout works for two adults or a family with small children (children are allowed). Each room includes a private bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, free toiletries, slippers, and a toilet with bidet function. Additional amenities are a flat-screen TV, mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, and soundproofed walls (concrete construction effectively blocks hallway and neighbour noise). The room is clean and modern but compact: suitcases can be opened on the floor, though storage space is limited (no wardrobe, only a few hooks). The air conditioner is located next to the loft bed, which can cause temperature imbalance between the upper and lower berths. Rooms are non-smoking throughout.

No breakfast is available on site, so meals must be planned externally. The area around Naka-Itabashi station is dense with independent restaurants, ramen shops, and izakayas, many open until late evening. A 24-hour bento shop opposite the hotel provides a convenient option for late arrivals or early departures. Several convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart) are within a one-minute walk. For those wanting to explore, the station area also has a fruit market directly outside the entrance and a supermarket selling prepared sushi and ingredients.

WiFi is free throughout the hotel. Luggage storage is free and operates before check-in and after check-out; the hotel can also receive and store luggage sent in advance. Check-in is from 16:00, check-out by 10:00, with self-check-in available after 18:00 via a digital guide. Security features include 24-hour CCTV, key card access, smoke alarms, and a security alarm. Daily housekeeping is not automatically included - it must be requested at an extra cost; towels and amenities are available on a self-serve basis in the lobby.
