HYATT PLACE LONG ISLAND CITY, New York

Situated in the heart of Long Island City, this hotel is surrounded by a metro-rich area. Multiple subway lines (Queensboro Plaza, Queens Plaza, and Court Square) provide rapid access to Times Square, Central Park, and other Manhattan highlights. A Target and Trader Joe's are within a 5-7 minute walk, and numerous restaurants, bars, and a supermarket are within two blocks. The area is generally quiet at night and well-lit, offering a safe alternative to Manhattan accommodation. LaGuardia Airport is a 10-15 minute taxi ride away (around $30-35), and JFK is accessible via subway with a single transfer. Gantry Plaza State Park (2 km) offers a relaxing stroll and views of the Manhattan skyline.

King, Double Queen, and Suite configurations offer plenty of space for couples and families. All rooms feature a private bathroom, air conditioning, a tea and coffee maker, a flat-screen TV, a safe, and a wardrobe. Suites and some double rooms include a pull-out sofa bed (single size). King rooms with a sofa bed can fit three people. Rooms on the building's roadside have reported consistent traffic noise, making a courtyard-facing room preferable. Some bathrooms lack a window, so ventilation is limited. The beds are consistently described as comfortable, though some prefer a firmer pillow. The sofa bed is less suitable for adults.

The breakfast includes a rotating selection of scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, hash browns, make-your-own waffles, bagels, toast, fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, and juice. It is served Monday to Friday 06:30-09:00 and weekends/holidays 07:00-10:00. Seating is limited at peak times when wait times can occur. The on-site restaurant and bar serve American cuisine for brunch, dinner, and cocktails. A coffee house and snack bar are also available in the lobby.

The fitness centre is open around the clock and includes standard equipment for a sufficient workout. For additional leisure, the hotel is within walking distance of a cinema, and multiple bars and restaurants are in the immediate area. The location also offers easy access to the Hunters Point South ferry terminal for a scenic ride to Manhattan.

Wi-Fi is complimentary throughout the hotel. Daily housekeeping is provided upon request. Luggage storage is available for a fee ($3 per bag), useful for early arrivals or late departures. The front desk is staffed 24/7 and can assist with concierge services, tour desk info, and express check-in/out. A business centre, fax/photocopying, and meeting rooms are free to use. Laundry and dry cleaning are available for an additional charge. The hotel is equipped with an elevator, non-smoking rooms, and soundproofed rooms in some configurations. A minimarket is on site, and there is an ATM. Safety features include 24-hour security, CCTV, key card access, and safety deposit boxes. Pets (one dog under 23 kg) are allowed with a $75 fee per 6 days. Cribs and pack 'n' plays are available for children up to age 2.
