Located just off the City of Edinburgh Bypass, ibis Budget Hotel Edinburgh Park is an 8-minute drive from Edinburgh Airport and a 2-minute walk from the Gyle Centre tram stop. The tram runs every 7-10 minutes (06:00-23:00), reaching the airport in 10-15 minutes and Waverley Station / Princes Street in about 20 minutes. Edinburgh Park train station is a 30-minute walk away (direct trains to the city centre in 7 minutes). Edinburgh Zoo is a 5-minute drive, and Edinburgh Castle is roughly 20 minutes by car or 25 minutes by tram. A large shopping centre with a supermarket, cafés, and restaurants is just across the road. The hotel is wheelchair-accessible, with a ramp available at the rear.

Standard rooms feature one double bed and an optional single bunk above (triple capacity). Each unit includes air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi. There is no private bathroom in the traditional sense - the shower is a glass cubicle within the room, the toilet is in a separate small compartment, and the sink is in the main room. This layout offers very little privacy; the rooms are best suited for solo travellers or couples who do not mind close quarters. Triple rooms are extremely tight with three occupants and suitcases. There are no fridges, kettles, or hairdryers in the rooms (tea and coffee available 24/7 in the lobby, hairdryers borrowable at reception). Rooms facing the office block opposite have little privacy due to uncovered windows. Noise from plumbing, doors slamming, and the air conditioning unit can be an issue in some rooms.

There is no swimming pool, spa, gym, sauna, or games area on the property. The hotel has a small garden with outdoor furniture and a terrace, which can be used for relaxing on fine days. The leisure offer is essentially limited to the shared lounge/TV area. This is a practical, airport/highway-adjacent stopover property, not a leisure-destination hotel.
