IBIS STYLES EDINBURGH ST ANDREW SQUARE, Edinburgh

The location puts you within a 12-minute walk of Edinburgh Castle and 6 minutes from the Scottish National Gallery. Holyrood Park (Arthur's Seat) is just over 2 km away. The 100 Airlink bus and tram both stop at St Andrew Square, under a 5-minute walk from the hotel, giving direct access from the airport. The surrounding St Andrew Square and George Street areas are filled with restaurants, bars, and shops, making the hotel an excellent base for exploring the New Town and reaching the Old Town on foot in about 10 minutes. For those driving, the nearest parking is Q-Park Omni Centre, roughly a 10-minute walk; use the hotel's discounted voucher.

Standard rooms are tightly sized (around 14 m²) with limited surfaces and wardrobe space. The Sweet Bed by ibis Styles provides a comfortable mattress, though pillows are firm. All rooms feature soundproofing, a large flat-screen smart TV, air conditioning, and an en-suite shower with Arran cosmetics. The 'The Works' balcony rooms are notably larger, include a Nespresso machine, bathrobes, slippers, and a balcony with city views (some offer partial sea views). A few rooms on lower floors face a wall or a roof, so request a square-view or higher-floor room for better outlook. Twin rooms are available as 'The Duet', and family rooms can accommodate up to three people. Note that there is no in-room fridge or mini-bar, although items can be left with reception.

The hotel provides a 24-hour front desk, luggage storage before check-in and after check-out, and express check-in/out. An ironing room on the second floor is accessible 24/7. Dry cleaning and laundry services are available for an additional charge. A business centre and fax/photocopying can be used for a fee. Safety deposit boxes are free. The property has lifts (one elevator is occasionally out of service) and one external step at the main entrance, with a level-access rear entrance for mobility aid users. Accessible rooms feature emergency cords, grab rails, and lower sinks. The ground floor bar/reception area also serves as a shared lounge. All major credit cards are accepted.
