The hotel sits on a street with Medici history, just outside the busiest pedestrian zones. From the airport, take tram T2 to San Marco stop (€1.70, 20 minutes) and walk two minutes. Florence's main train station is a 15-minute walk. All major sights - Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Mercato Centrale - are within easy walking distance. A supermarket is directly opposite, and numerous restaurants line the surrounding streets. An ice-skating rink is also located nearby. Despite the central location, the hotel remains relatively quiet, especially in courtyard-facing rooms.

Room decor varies: some feature high frescoed ceilings and antique furniture, while others are simpler. Standard double rooms are spacious, but some single and lower-floor rooms are compact. All rooms include a minibar, work desk, flat-screen TV, and free WiFi. Bathrooms are modern with a shower and bidet. Two rooms have coffee machines; kettles are available on request. A limited number of rooms have balconies - confirm at booking if required. Soundproofed walls are fitted, but some noise from corridors and adjacent rooms can still be heard. Rooms on the top floor may be warmer in summer. The wheelchair-accessible room (ground floor) has a lower bed and grab rails; book in advance.
