IMHOME - PORTA ROMANA, Milan

The guest house sits in a quiet, upscale residential neighbourhood of Milan's city centre, with many cafés, restaurants, and small supermarkets within a 5-minute walk. Porta Romana Metro Station (line M3) is 3 minutes on foot, giving direct access to the Duomo in about 15 minutes (3 stops) and Milano Centrale railway station. The surrounding streets are pleasant and walkable; the Duomo, Museo Del Novecento, and Villa Necchi Campiglio are all within 2 km (a 20-minute walk). Milan Linate Airport is 7 km away. For car-free city trips, the tram stop is also nearby. The area is considered safe and well-connected, but on-street parking requires a paid garage.

Accommodation options include double rooms with a private bathroom and a two-bedroom apartment with a main bathroom (not en-suite). The apartment is the larger option, with a separate kitchen, dining area, and city-view balcony, suitable for up to 4 people. Double rooms are more compact but provide a desk, wardrobe, TV, and a private bathroom with shower and bidet. All units have air conditioning, heating, soundproofed walls, and windows (some facing an inner courtyard, offering quieter nights). The main building has a lift, though a few steps remain to reach some rooms. In-room features include a flat-screen TV, electric kettle, tea and coffee maker, and a minifridge in some units. Rooms are described as clean and modern, though some units feel smaller than shown in photos; standard double rooms are best suited for short stays.

The property does not offer breakfast, a restaurant, or a bar. Each room and apartment has an electric kettle and a coffee machine (Nespresso with a few complimentary capsules) for self-service hot drinks. A minifridge is present in most rooms. The surrounding area is rich with dining options: cafés, pizzerias, and Indian takeaway are within a 3-5-minute walk, including Latteria 78, Swami Cafe', and Pizzeria Condurro. Guests wanting a full breakfast or a wider meal selection can find several cafés and restaurants within a short stroll.

The check-in process is fully automated: access codes and instructions are provided via mobile about one hour before arrival. The virtual key system requires a smartphone with internet access. Wi-Fi is free and available in all rooms. A lift serves most floors, though a few steps remain to reach some rooms. There is no reception desk, no luggage storage, and no on-site parking (paid garages can be found nearby). Daily housekeeping and towel/linen changes are available on request at an extra cost. Initial amenities include towels and small toiletries (shower gel and soap); additional supplies or changes are subject to a charge. Pets are allowed, with possible extra fees.
