Hotel Isis sits on a quiet residential street in Amsterdam Noord, separated from the city centre by the IJ river. The free ferry runs every few minutes from Ijplein (5 minutes walk) and takes 5 minutes to reach Central Station, giving direct tram, metro, bus and train connections to all attractions. Schiphol Airport is 30 km away - 20 minutes by car or 30 minutes by public transport. Street parking costs €1.60 per hour (€9.60 per day) with free parking from 19:00 to 09:00. A supermarket is a short walk away, and several restaurants and a bar are within a few hundred metres.

Rooms feature a flat-screen TV with local and international channels, free Wi-Fi (minimum 20 Mbps), a mini fridge, and a private bathroom with shower. Some rooms have a balcony upon request and subject to availability. The property is older and shows signs of wear: peeling wallpaper, worn furniture, aged bathrooms and thin walls. Noise from hallways, stairs and neighbours is common - rooms facing the street can also pick up late-night smoking and talking. The building has no lift and the stairs are narrow and steep. Those with mobility concerns should request a ground-floor room. Triple rooms are larger at 17 m2 and have a balcony upon request. No air conditioning; portable heaters are available when needed.

There is no restaurant or breakfast service at the hotel. Guests have access to a self-service area with a kettle and microwave for preparing simple meals. A coffee machine in the lobby serves hot drinks for a small fee, and vending machines provide snacks and drinks. Several restaurants and cafes are within a 5-minute walk, including Turkish, Indian and Italian options. A supermarket is also nearby for groceries. Guests planning full meals may prefer to eat out or stock up at the supermarket.

Bicycles can be rented from the hotel at €15 for 3 hours or €18.25 for 24 hours, including insurance - a cost-effective way to reach the city centre and surrounding areas. Secure bike storage is provided for overnight parking. The hotel can also arrange guided tours on request. There are no on-site wellness facilities such as a pool, spa or gym.
