JACK'S HOTEL, Paris

The hotel is on the left bank, just 300 metres from the Place d'Italie roundabout, a major transport hub served by metro lines 5, 6 and 7. The metro station is a three-minute walk, providing direct connections to Gare du Nord, Gare de Lyon, and both CDG and Orly airports (via RER B then line 6). AccorHotels Arena is 2 km away, and the Seine and the Jardin des Plantes are a 15-minute stroll. The neighbourhood (13th arrondissement) offers numerous restaurants, cafés, a supermarket, and a bakery within a short walk; the lively rue Mouffetard is also in the area. Despite being near a busy roundabout, the street itself is quiet. The hotel's location makes it practical for reaching major attractions-most are within 30 minutes by metro-while providing a calm base away from the tourist crowds.

All rooms feature air conditioning, heating, soundproofing, a flat-screen TV with Chromecast, a direct-dial telephone, a safe, and tea/coffee-making facilities. Private bathrooms offer a bathtub or shower and include free toiletries. Rooms are on the small side, typical of central Paris, which suits city-breakers rather than those needing spacious quarters. Some classic double rooms have a small balcony-request this in advance if desired. Superior rooms can be configured with twin beds on request. The property has a lift, and the front desk runs 24/7 for requests. Cleaning is done daily. Some guests have noted that walls can be thin; light sleepers should request a high-floor quiet room. The carpeted floors and modern decor keep rooms feeling cosy, while blackout curtains ensure a good night's rest.

Breakfast is available daily at 15 EUR per person and can be taken in the dining room, which has a cheerful, colourful decor. The buffet includes bread, pastries, cold cuts, cereal, yoghurt, and hot beverages. While the selection is basic, it provides a solid start for the day. The hotel does not have a restaurant; however, the surrounding area is packed with options-dozens of restaurants and cafés, including crêperies, brasseries, and ethnic eateries, are within a three- to five-minute walk. Guests often explore nearby rue Mouffetard and the Place d'Italie roundabout for dinner. A coffee house on the premises provides additional grab-and-go convenience. For those preferring to self-cater, a supermarket is nearby.

Jack's Hotel does not offer a pool, spa, or wellness centre. For relaxation, the Jardin des Plantes is a 15-minute walk and offers a peaceful escape, as do the banks of the Seine, also a 15-minute walk. The 13th arrondissement's streets are lively, and the hotel's quiet location on a back street balances access to the city buzz with a calm retreat. The AccorHotels Arena, about 2 km away, hosts concerts and events. For exercise, running along the Seine or in the Jardin des Plantes is feasible.
