The inn is located at the center of Newport, with everything downtown accessible on foot. Thames Street is a one-minute walk away, and a stop for the free trolley is just one block from the property. The White Horse Tavern, the oldest tavern in New England, is directly across the street. Easton's Beach is 2 km away, and the Cliff Walk, Ocean Drive, and other beaches are 2 km from the inn. For a car-free visit, the free trolley and water taxis provide easy access to the mansions and coast. Parking is free and on-site, making it practical for drivers as well.

Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 to 9:00 in a spacious, spotless breakfast room. The spread includes hard-boiled eggs, deli meats, cheese, waffles, toast, bagels, croissants, English muffins, assorted breads, oatmeal, granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, and avocado. Coffee, tea, water, and hot chocolate are available throughout the day, with fresh-baked cookies and fruit offered every afternoon. Breakfast can be taken back to the room. The inn does not have a restaurant, but dozens of dining options including The White Horse Tavern, Perro Salado, Bar 'Cino, and The Fastnet Pub are within a 0.5 km walk.

Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the building. Free private parking is available on-site for one vehicle per room; the lot is small, so guests with a large SUV should notify the inn in advance. Housekeeping is eco-friendly and not automatic; guests can request room servicing or replenishments at reception. Luggage storage is available for early arrivals or late departures. There is no room service, no restaurant, no elevator, and no pool, spa, or fitness facilities. The inn accepts American Express, Visa, Discover, and MasterCard.
