JGSTAY - TIMES SQUARE, New York

The hotel is on 8th Avenue, placing guests within a 2-3 minute walk of Times Square, under 600 m from Broadway Theatre, and 12 minutes on foot from Radio City Music Hall. Rockefeller Center is less than 1 km away, and the subway entrance is just 0.5 km from the door, offering direct connections to all boroughs and LaGuardia Airport (12 km). The immediate area is filled with casual and upscale dining - 8 restaurants including Carmine's, Bubba Gump, and Shake Shack are within a half-kilometre. The location is exceptionally convenient for city exploration on foot, but the surrounding streets are busy day and night. For those driving in, no hotel parking exists; three public garages are within 0.5 km. The hotel's placement in the Theater District makes it a natural base for Broadway shows, with many venues reachable without a subway ride.

The property does not have its own restaurant, café, or breakfast service. A vending machine dispenses drinks and snacks on-site. The immediate area offers dozens of eateries within a 3-minute walk: Italian at Trattoria Trecolori (0.5 km) and Carmine's (0.5 km), seafood at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., traditional pub fare at The Mean Fiddler, and quick bites at Shake Shack (0.5 km). Many Broadway-area restaurants are open late, making evening dining convenient after shows. For self-catering, a small refrigerator is provided in each room, and a nearby supermarket across the street allows stocking of breakfast supplies. Guests who prefer a hot, sit-down breakfast should plan to eat at one of the adjacent cafés - no hot breakfast is included or available in the building.

JGSTAY - Times Square does not feature a gym, pool, spa, or sauna. The only on-site leisure is a shared lounge/TV area. Nearby recreational opportunities include an ice-skating rink (seasonal) and boating, both within walking distance. Hudson River Park, reachable in about 15 minutes on foot, offers a waterfront greenway for running or cycling. The hotel's Midtown location provides direct access to Central Park (approximately 2 km north), Rockefeller Center's skating rink, and the Broadway Theater District - all suitable for day or evening entertainment. For travellers whose wellness routine requires a fitness room, the lack of a gym means either planning a visit to a nearby commercial fitness centre or relying on outdoor city walks. The property is best treated as a no-frills sleep-and-shower base rather than a stay-put leisure resort.

WiFi is free in all areas. The 24-hour front desk handles late-check-ins and provides a nightly security presence, with CCTV and key-card access. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after checkout, but carries an additional charge of approximately $2 per bag. A shared lounge/TV area and vending machines for snacks and drinks are accessible around the clock. An invoice can be provided for business expense purposes, but no dedicated business centre or meeting room exists. No washing machine, dryer, or common kitchen is available. Housekeeping is not automatic - to have the room cleaned or towels replaced, inform the front desk. The hotel accepts American Express, Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Maestro, Discover, and MasterCard, but does not accept cash for payment - all payments must be made by debit or credit card. A mandatory $150 security deposit is taken at check-in and refunded after check-out.
