HOTEL KAFFEEMUEHLE, Vienna

The hotel is well connected: Westbahnhof train station is a 10-minute tram ride, and the city centre is a 20-30 minute walk or a short tram ride. Mariahilfer Straße, Vienna's main shopping street, is steps away, along with numerous restaurants serving Austrian, Asian, and Italian cuisine within a 500-metre radius. For airport access, take the airport bus to Westbahnhof then tram 5 (about 40 minutes) or a taxi (30-40 minutes). Parking is available at the adjacent Lugner Garage (€19/24h). Note that tram noise can be audible in street-facing rooms, so quieter rooms face the inner courtyard.

Room types include single, double, family (up to 3 beds), and quintuple rooms. Most rooms are spacious, but amenities are basic: no air conditioning (fans provided), no refrigerator, kettle, or balcony. Sound insulation is minimal, so noise from adjacent rooms and the street can be heard. Cleanliness varies; daily housekeeping changes towels but may not deep clean. Pillows are thin, but beds are generally comfortable. Top-floor rooms may have poor WiFi and limited window opening. For a quieter stay, request a room away from the street and on a lower floor.

There are no wellness facilities on site. For entertainment, the Wiener Stadthalle (event venue) is a 7-minute walk away. Mariahilfer Straße offers extensive shopping and cafes. Public parks and the MuseumsQuartier are within a 15-minute walk.

Reception is staffed from 7:00 to 22:00. Late check-in after 22:00 uses a self-check-in system with a code provided in advance. Check-out is by 11:30. Payment methods include Visa, Diners Club, JCB, Maestro, and MasterCard. The hotel has a lift (small) and an alternative entrance without steps at the back for wheelchair and stroller access. Parking is at the adjacent Lugner Garage (€19/day, no reservation). Nearby laundry service is available at Green & Clean. Security features include key card access, smoke alarms, and fire extinguishers.
