The Moulin Rouge is a 5-minute walk, and Gare du Nord is about 15 minutes by metro. The area is safe for solo travellers and well-connected by bus and Uber. The immediate vicinity offers many dining options, though some are tourist-oriented; local bakeries and restaurants recommended for everyday meals.
