LA QUINTA INN BY WYNDHAM DALLAS UPTOWN, Dallas

The hotel sits on Central Expressway (US-75), directly adjacent to a busy highway. The front-facing rooms experience significant traffic noise, while the backside rooms are considerably quieter. The location is walkable to a dense cluster of restaurants and bars in Uptown and the Knox-Henderson area, including Denny's on the same lot. Public transport is accessible: DART bus route 205 stops nearby for downtown and SMU access, and the Mockingbird Station (serving the DART light rail) is about 2 km away. AT&T Stadium, the Dallas Convention Center, and the Dallas Arts District are within a 8 km drive.

The property is an older motel-style build that has undergone a recent renovation. Rooms feature air conditioning, heating, a tea and coffee maker, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, ironing facilities, a hairdryer, and free toiletries. The layout includes exterior corridors with parking directly outside each room. The renovation has brought new linens, tile floors (pet-friendly), and modern paint, but the building's age means that soundproofing is minimal, especially in front-facing rooms. Some rooms have microwaves, and all have a mini-fridge. The interior is compact but functional, with no closets or drawers for clothing storage. Road-facing rooms are not recommended for light sleepers; request a room on the backside for a much quieter experience.

The outdoor swimming pool is open and typically clean, surrounded by a small sun deck. Adjacent to the pool is a hot tub/jacuzzi, both available at no extra charge. The fitness centre is a small room with basic cardio and weight equipment, accessible 24/7. These facilities are seasonal or weather-dependent due to the outdoor location.

Free public parking is available on-site with no reservation needed; accessible parking is also provided. WiFi is free throughout the property. The 24-hour front desk offers luggage storage at no charge. A business centre with free fax/photocopying is available. Daily housekeeping is complimentary, and laundry services are available for an additional fee. The property is wheelchair accessible with tactile signs. Security features include 24-hour security, CCTV, and key card access. No safe is available in the rooms.
