Hotel Details

Location

In Barcelona's Poble Sec district, 100 metres from Parallel Metro Station. A 20-minute walk to Plaza España and the airport bus stop, and 5 minutes to the Raval district.

The hostel sits at the foot of Montjuïc Hill, within walking distance of Montjuïc Castle and the Magic Fountains. Many tourist attractions, the port, and the beach are reachable within a half-hour walk. The area is quiet yet surrounded by tapas bars, supermarkets, and casual restaurants, all within a few blocks. The metro station gives direct access to the city centre and a connection from the airport bus at Plaza España. For those arriving on foot or by public transport, the location is practical for exploring both central Barcelona and the Montjuïc area.

Accommodation

Colourful dorms and private rooms with air conditioning, heating, and individual lockers. Private rooms may include a balcony or en-suite bathroom; shared bathrooms are located on each floor.

Dormitories include female-only options and mixed rooms with curtains for privacy, reading lights, USB sockets, and lockers. The metal bunk beds can be noisy when others move. Private rooms vary: some are bright and spacious with balconies, while others are small, windowless, or on the ground floor with limited natural light and potential humidity. Rooms facing internal courtyards may pick up noise from extractors or a shared smoking area. Air conditioning is available throughout, and some private rooms include tea/coffee facilities. The triple room has a shared bathroom and a kitchen with stove, fridge, and oven.

Dining

A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 07:30 to 10:30, with pastries, bread, jam, apples, coffee, tea, and milk alternatives. No restaurant or cooked breakfast on site.

The free breakfast provides a good start with packaged croissants, bread, butter, jam, and fruit, plus coffee with options like oat or almond milk. All-day free coffee, tea, and filtered water are available in the common area. There is no restaurant or bar at the hostel, but the surrounding Poble Sec streets offer numerous affordable tapas bars, restaurants, and a grocery store within a few minutes' walk. The shared kitchen is available for self-catering.

Leisure

Free daily activities include city walks, photo exhibitions, music classes, guided walking tours, and evening entertainment. A games room and board games are available on site.

The hostel organises social activities to help guests explore Barcelona. Daytime options include guided walking tours and city walks, while evenings feature night tours to bars and nightclubs, as well as entertainment activities (additional charges may apply for some events). The basement common area has a TV lounge and a games room. There is no pool, spa, or gym. The outdoor patio is available for relaxation, though there is no dedicated outdoor lounge.

Amenities

Free Wi-Fi throughout, 24-hour reception, free luggage storage, shared kitchen, laundry room, and safety deposit box. Tour desk offers tickets and reservations.

The 24-hour front desk is staffed at all times, making late or early arrivals straightforward. Luggage storage is free and useful for exploring before check-in or after checkout. The shared kitchen is equipped with cookware, utensils, fridge, and microwave. A coin-operated laundry room is available. Wi-Fi is free across the property, though signal can be weaker in some rooms. Security includes CCTV in common areas, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and lockers in dorms. No lift is available, so upper-floor access is via stairs. The property is non-smoking throughout.

“Cosy rooms, curtains on beds give privacy, locking drawers, lamps and little shelves above each bed, AC keeping the room fresh, free breakfast, tea/coffee with different types of milk, kitchen, laundry room, little courtyard, friendly and welcoming staff always at reception, nice location”
