MF HOTEL, Rome

The hotel sits in the Porta Pia neighbourhood, a quiet residential area with good transport links. Castro Pretorio Metro (10 min walk) connects directly to Termini Station and the Colosseum. Bus stops on Via Salaria (3-5 min) serve lines 63, 83, 360 (to Piazza Fiume), and 490/492 (to the Vatican). Piazza Fiume, 150 m away, has a cinema, restaurants, and a supermarket. Most central attractions (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo) are about 1.5-2 km on foot, but a bus or taxi (approx €10) is a practical option. The area feels safe, with several bars and food options immediately around the hotel.

Breakfast is a simple continental buffet with bread, pastries, and hot drinks, served in a dedicated room. Space is limited, so arriving early is advisable. For other meals, the hotel does not have an on-site restaurant or bar, but the surrounding street (Via Salaria and Piazza Fiume) has many trattorias, pizzerias, and a wine bar within 0.5 km. A supermarket is also a 3-minute walk away, ideal for self-catering or snacks. The paid breakfast can be booked at the reception desk and is not included in the room rate by default.

MF Hotel is a no-frills urban accommodation focused on practical stays. There are no leisure or wellness facilities on the property. However, Villa Borghese park is just a 5-minute walk away, providing green space for walking, running, or relaxing. Guests seeking structured spa or gym treatments should plan elsewhere; the hotel staff are able to provide local recommendations upon request.

The property offers practical services: a 24-hour front desk with secure key-card access, free luggage storage (before check-in and after check-out), and daily housekeeping with towel changes. A paid airport shuttle (pick-up and drop-off) is available by prior arrangement. Free Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the hotel (speeds reported around 100 Mbps). Services include fax/photocopying and public transport ticket sales (both at an additional cost). The building has a lift, but it is old and small; guests with large luggage or limited mobility should note that the hotel is on the 3rd floor and the stairs are steep. The hotel accepts major credit cards and provides invoice upon request.
