MOTEL 6-ANAHEIM, CA - MAINGATE, Anaheim

The motel is within a 10-15 minute walk to Disneyland and California Adventure, and about 2 km (2 km) to the Anaheim Convention Center. Direct access to the freeway makes other attractions like Knott's Berry Farm, the Angel Stadium, and Honda Center easily reachable by a short drive or Uber. For those without a car, the ART public bus stop (on Katella) provides a paid shuttle (6am-12:30am) to the parks for about $6 per adult. Numerous dining options are within a 0.3-0.5 km radius: McFadden's Restaurant and Saloon, P.F. Chang's, California Fish Grill, Del Taco, and a 7-Eleven. The area feels safe and well-lit, particularly on the main road, but the freeway proximity means road-facing rooms can be noisy, especially during early morning garbage collection. For an easier route, walk to the Disney Toy Story parking lot (about 10 minutes) and catch a free park bus.

The motel offers double rooms with one bed and quadruple rooms with two queen beds (sleeping up to 4). All rooms include a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, air conditioning, heating, cable TV, and a coffee maker. Updated rooms have USB outlets, mini-fridges, and modern decor; however, many older rooms show signs of wear: stained carpets, loose floorboards, ageing furnishings, and thin mattresses that can slide on the platform. Noise isolation is minimal - sound travels easily from adjacent rooms, the corridor, and the pool area. Road-facing rooms and units near the freeway can be loud. Some rooms lack a microwave (available in the lobby), and no rooms have balconies or kitchenettes. For quiet and better rest, request a room on the upper floor facing away from the freeway and pool.

The motel does not operate a restaurant or offer breakfast. A lobby snack bar and vending machine provide packaged snacks and drinks, and complementary drip coffee and hot water for tea are available 24 hours. For proper meals, an array of sit-down and fast-food options are within a 0.3-0.5 km walk, including P.F. Chang's, California Fish Grill, Del Taco, 7-Eleven, and the Anaheim GardenWalk with its full-service restaurants. For a quicker return to the park, many choose nearby quick-service spots like Tacos Y Pupusas or Snowopolis.

Wi-Fi is complimentary in public areas only; signal strength can be weak or absent in some rooms. Parking costs US$20-US$25 per night, reservation is required, and entry/exit is possible 24 hours. Pets are allowed with no extra charge. Luggage storage is offered free at the front desk before check-in and after check-out. Laundry facilities (coin-operated) are available on site. The property has a lift, wheelchair-accessible rooms, and is fully non-smoking. A 24-hour front desk offers services like early check-in (fee applies) and accepts cash with a credit card for incidentals. The hotel does not provide shuttle or airport transfer services; for Disney transport, use the ART app or walk to the Toy Story parking lot. Maintenance issues - such as ice machines breaking, broken bathroom fixtures, and slow-draining showers - have been reported in some units.
