MPS HOLLAND, Amsterdam

The boat is typically docked near the city centre, about 900 metres from Amsterdam Central Station on foot. Dam Square and the Royal Palace are 2 km away, and the main shopping street Kalverstraat is 2 km. The location is ideal for exploring: tram lines from Central Station reach Rembrandtplein, Leidseplein, and the Museum District. Several cafés and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. Note that the boat may move to different moorings (e.g., near NEMO Science Museum), which can change walking distances; always confirm the current berth before heading out.

Each cabin is a compact room with a private bathroom (shower, toilet, sink). Beds are standard bunk beds (single 90x200 cm). Some rooms are family rooms with two beds. Cabins include heating, parquet floors, a private entrance, and free toiletries. Space is very limited: no floor space for luggage or movement, and the tiny bathroom becomes wet after showering. Windows are small (approx. A5 size), offering little ventilation. The thin walls and slamming doors mean noise from neighbours and corridors carries easily. For light sleepers, earplugs recommended. Bed comfort varies: some find them fine, others describe them as basic with plasticky sheets. The unique boat atmosphere is the main draw, but the accommodation suits short stays where the room is used only for sleeping.

A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning in the cosy salon. It typically includes bread, pastries, jams, cheese, boiled eggs, pancakes, and hot drinks. The breakfast area is shared, and there is free self-service tea and coffee throughout the day. There is no restaurant or bar on board; however, several cafés and restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. Guests with specific dietary needs may want to plan ahead, as the buffet is basic.

The boat offers a sun terrace and a shared lounge area with comfortable seating and river views. Board games and puzzles are available for guests. There is no spa, pool, or fitness centre. The terrace is a pleasant spot to relax, especially during warmer months.
