NEST NATUR HOSTEL, Vienna

The hostel sits in the Weidlingau district, 9 km from Schönbrunn Palace and 8 km from the Rosarium. The S50 train station is a 5-minute walk away, providing direct service to Wien Westbahnhof in 15 minutes and connections to the city centre within 30-40 minutes. The Auhof shopping centre (Billa, food court, McDonald's) is a 10-minute walk. Multiple restaurants-including Marmara, Il Campanile, and Royal Teppanyaki-are within 1 km. The location is ideal for nature walks and cycling along the river, but a car or train is necessary for reaching central attractions. Parking on the main street is free and available, though on-site parking is limited.

The property does not serve breakfast or have a restaurant. Shared kitchenettes are available on some floors, equipped with a microwave, electric kettle, and refrigerator. Kitchen equipment is minimal-often lacking pots, pans, cutlery, and a stove. The bistro area (open until 22:00) may provide some basics but is not a full kitchen. For dining out, several restaurants are within 1 km: Matuya Japanisches Restaurant, Marmara, Il Campanile, L'Osteria Wien Auhof Center, Royal Teppanyaki, and El Greco. The Auhof shopping centre also has a food court offering various cuisines. The proximity to shopping centres and supermarkets allows guests to stock up on groceries easily. A coffee machine is available, but its functionality is inconsistent based on reported issues.

The property offers a garden with a picnic area and outdoor furniture, ideal for relaxing or barbecuing on-site. The sun terrace provides additional seating for enjoying the surrounding greenery and fresh air. The location borders the Wien River, allowing guests to walk or cycle along the water and explore nearby Vienna Woods hiking trails. The peaceful, green setting creates a calm environment away from city noise. No pool, spa, sauna, or fitness centre is available on-site. For indoor relaxation, the shared lounge/TV area provides a common space to unwind, though its furnishings are basic. The suburb itself is quiet and suitable for low-key outdoor activities, making it a good choice for nature-focused travellers.

Wi-Fi is free throughout the property but can be unreliable; signal strength may drop in some rooms and during peak usage. Parking is free on-site but limited to approximately two spaces; a reservation does not guarantee availability, so guests arriving by car should confirm directly and have a backup plan (street parking or a nearby paid car park). The property offers express check-in/out, luggage storage, and lockers for secure storage of valuables. A paid airport shuttle is available at €60 per trip. The building has a lift, central heating, and soundproofed rooms. Safety features include CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, key card access, and a security alarm. Daily housekeeping is free, but cleaning quality varies; some units have reported issues with stained linens and dusty floors. The washing machine is available on-site (no dryer). Self-check-in is standard, with check-in codes sent via WhatsApp after providing ID copies. The property is adults-only and does not accommodate children.
