The hotel is located on Las Vegas Boulevard at Ogden, a short stroll from the Fremont Street Experience and several casinos, restaurants and bars. The Las Vegas Strip is about a 10-minute drive away; walking to the Strip is not practical. A bus stop to the Strip is half a block away, and rideshare services are the most reliable option for reaching the airport (Harry Reid is 15 km away). The immediate area feels safe during the day but some streets can feel less secure late at night. Free off-site parking is provided, but spaces are limited and the lot is uncovered; on busy nights you may need to park across the street.

Guest rooms are individually decorated and functional, but lack several standard amenities: there is no closet, safe, in-room phone, microwave or coffee maker. Only the Poolside King Suites (approximately six rooms) include a mini-fridge, and these also have a pull-out sofa bed. All rooms have parquet floors, heating, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, and a private bathroom with a shower (some with a bath). Some rooms have a seating area with a sofa. Noise from the attached nightclub can be significant, especially on Thursday-Sunday nights when music continues until 4am; earplugs are available at reception. The rooms are not equipped with blackout curtains, so light sleepers may find daylight an issue. The atmosphere is practical and straightforward - suitable for short stays where the room is primarily for sleeping.

The property does not have a restaurant or offer any meal service. A small snack bar is available for packaged items. The attached Gold Spike bar serves drinks and has limited food options on weekends only. For full meals, the Fremont Street Experience (one block away) has a wide variety of restaurants, from fast food to sit-down dining. A 24-hour Walgreens is nearby for snacks and essentials. If you need coffee outside the lobby hours, check the minimarket on site or the nearby cafés on Fremont Street.

The outdoor swimming pool is open all year, weather permitting, but is not heated. Pool hours are 6am to 10pm daily, and towels are provided. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available. The fitness centre is free and small but functional. Free bicycle rentals are offered, along with billiards, darts, and cycling activities. The hotel's Backyard features oversized games including giant Jenga, beer pong, chess, four square, and shuffleboard. Regular special events include live music on Friday and Saturday nights, roller skating on select Thursdays, and food truck nights. The Gold Spike bar also has arcade games and a carnival-themed area. Please note that the nightclub transforms the Backyard into an energetic venue from around 9pm on weekends.

WiFi is free throughout the hotel. Parking is free at a nearby off-site uncovered lot (reservation not needed, but spaces are limited). Street parking is also available. The 24-hour front desk offers express check-in/out, luggage storage, and safety deposit boxes (at the desk, not in rooms). A business centre is free to use. Accessibility features include a wheelchair-accessible entrance and lift. Security is thorough: key card access to elevators, 24-hour CCTV, and nightly ID checks at the bar entrance. The on-site minimarket stocks basic items. There is no laundry service, no airport shuttle, and no pet facilities. Housekeeping is provided every three days; additional towels or supplies can be requested at the front desk.
