OLD CREEK LODGE, Gatlinburg

The lodge sits on River Road, directly alongside the Little Pigeon River, giving all rooms a creekside balcony. The main shopping and dining strip is a 2- to 5-minute walk, so a car is not needed for exploring town. The entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just outside the property, about 5 minutes away by car. Dollywood and The Island in Pigeon Forge are a 16 km drive. Ober Gatlinburg, Ripley's Aquarium, and Anakeesta are within a 1- to 3-minute drive. The free city trolley stops steps from the entrance, offering easy access to the full downtown area without walking. Several restaurants like The Peddler Steakhouse and Flapjack's Pancake Cabin are within 0.3 to 0.5 km on foot.

Breakfast is available from 7-10 AM, offering Jimmy Dean biscuits, croissants, blueberry muffins, yogurt, fruit, and cereal. It is a self-service, grab-and-go setup and does not include cooked hot dishes like eggs or sausage. Breakfast seating is limited to a small room, so the area can feel crowded during peak hours. There is no restaurant or bar on-site, so dinner and lunch options require walking or driving to nearby establishments - several sit-down restaurants and fast-casual spots are within a 5-minute walk, including The Peddler Steakhouse and Calhoun's. Afternoon cookies and lemonade or cider are offered in the lobby as a complimentary treat.

The outdoor swimming pool is heated and open during warmer months, typically from late spring through early fall. The pool area includes a fence for safety, shallow end, and pool towels. It is closed in January and generally closed by the end of September and throughout October, so confirm availability if planning a fall trip. There is no spa, wellness centre, or fitness room on the property. Guests have access to a sister property's pool. For leisure activities, the lodge is near hiking trails, fishing spots, and the downtown area with arcades and entertainment.
