PORT ROYAL HOTEL, Paris

Located in the heart of the 5th arrondissement, the hotel is well connected by metro, bus and the RER B (Port Royal station is a 10-minute walk). Les Gobelins station (Line 7) is a 2-minute walk, providing direct access to major sights including the Louvre (about 20 minutes by metro) and the Eiffel Tower (about 40 minutes). The area is safe and lively, with many restaurants, cafés, a street market and even a McDonald's across the street. Major walkable landmarks include the Pantheon (around 15 minutes), the Latin Quarter (5 minutes), and the Luxembourg Gardens (18 minutes on foot). Paris Orly Airport is 13 km away, and Charles de Gaulle Airport is reachable in about 1 hour via RER B.

Rooms are compact and basic by Parisian standards, with no TV, air conditioning, or minibar. Private bathroom rooms include a shower or bath, free toiletries and a hairdryer available on request at reception. Shared bathroom rooms use coin-operated showers (2.50 EUR for 5 minutes) on the 2nd and 6th floors; shared toilets are also on the corridors. Some rooms have a bathtub, while twin rooms have two single beds. Rooms facing the street can be noisy even with windows closed, while interior courtyard rooms tend to be quieter. The furnishings are simple and some rooms appear dated, but daily housekeeping is provided and linen is changed regularly. Rooms with large windows that open fully are available on request.

Breakfast is served as a basic sweet buffet - fresh croissants, baguette, butter, jam, yogurt, cereal, orange juice and a coffee machine. There are no hot options (no eggs, ham, or cheese) and no plant-based milk substitutes. Coffee drinks (cappuccino, espresso) are included. The Latin Quarter location provides numerous dining options within a 2-minute walk - bistros, crêperies, Thai, Korean, Moroccan and fast-food including McDonald's are all nearby. The hotel does not have a restaurant, bar or room service.

The surrounding area is well suited for walking and outdoor activity: Luxembourg Gardens is an 18-minute walk, the Jardin des Plantes is 10 minutes away, and the Rue Mouffetard market operates on several mornings a week.
