ROOMS25, Amsterdam

The hotel is located within a redeveloped naval complex, offering a peaceful setting away from the city bustle, yet within a 15-minute walk of Amsterdam Central Station. The walk to Dam Square takes 20-30 minutes depending on pace. Public transport options include bus n22 from Kattenburgerplein and tram n26 from Muziekgebouw, both a short walk from the property. Taxis and ride-shares cannot access the building directly due to a locked barrier - arrivals by car should park in the paid on-site parking (€40/day, reservation required) or use the nearby public parking. The surrounding area is well-suited to exploration by bicycle, with bike hire available at the hotel. Several restaurants and the NEMO Science Museum are within walking distance. The location is less practical for late-night returns on foot, as the area is quiet and some routes pass through unlit streets. Starting the day with the free luggage storage service is recommended if arriving early or departing late.

Breakfast is available Monday-Friday 07:30-11:00 and Saturday-Sunday 08:00-11:00, with a buffet including bread, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, cheese, cold cuts, and hot drinks. Hot dishes such as eggs can be ordered from the kitchen. Breakfast quality is generally appreciated for its variety and freshness. The restaurant Kanteen25 is open for brunch, lunch, dinner, and cocktail hour, with a menu that accommodates vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. The bar and restaurant may close for private events or lack of staff on some evenings, especially on Mondays and Tuesdays; checking availability in advance is advisable. The restaurant overlooks the water and is a popular spot for both hotel guests and local visitors. Wine and champagne are available at an additional charge. For self-catering, the area has several nearby restaurants including Scheepskameel (0.5 km) and Pension Homeland (0.5 km), and rooms with a fridge and stovetop allow for basic meal preparation.

Wellness facilities are not available on site. The immediate neighbourhood provides recreational options including an ice-skating rink and boating on the nearby water, as well as canal swimming during warmer months. Bicycle hire from the hotel is a practical way to explore the city and its parks. The quiet location and canal views also make the outdoor seating area a pleasant place to relax. The NEMO Science Museum and Artis Zoo are within 15-20 minutes on foot.

Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Luggage storage is free and uses lockers in the lobby, accessible until 17:00 (not available on Sundays after 17:00). Bicycle rental is offered at an additional charge, and a bicycle parking area is available. The property has a lift and is accessible to all rooms via elevator. Express check-in and check-out are handled via a self-service kiosk, with clear instructions. The hotel is non-smoking throughout, and security features include CCTV, smoke alarms, key card access, and a safe deposit box in each room. Laundry service is available for €15 per bag. Daily housekeeping is offered at an additional charge. An iron and ironing board can be provided upon request. The staff can communicate in English and Portuguese, and emergency WhatsApp support is available but may not always receive immediate responses after hours. Accepted payment methods include American Express, Visa, JCB, Maestro, and MasterCard. Guests under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
