SAFESTAY LONDON KENSINGTON HOLLAND PARK (ADULTS ONLY), London

The hostel occupies the East Wing of a Jacobean building inside prestigious Holland Park, offering direct park access with gardens, a pond, and woodland walks. Two underground stations serve the area: Holland Park (Central Line) and High Street Kensington (District & Circle), each about a 10-minute walk. Kensington High Street's shops, restaurants, and supermarkets are within a short stroll. Notable landmarks include the Natural History Museum (29 minutes on foot), Westfield London shopping centre (2 km), and Portobello Market (less than 20 minutes walk). For airport access, Heathrow is reachable via the Piccadilly Line to Earls Court and then District Line to High Street Kensington (approx. 45 minutes); Gatwick requires a train to Victoria then the Central Line (approx. 60 minutes). The park gates close around dusk, but there are two main entrances outside the park that remain open - Holland Walk and Kensington High Street - ensuring 24-hour access to the building.

The on-site restaurant (Bar 60) offers a family-friendly setting with gluten-free and dairy-free options. Breakfast is a continental buffet (served 08:00-10:30) at an additional £9 per person, including bread, pastries, cereals, yogurt, fruit, and hot drinks. The cafe and bar are alcohol-free and open for lunch and dinner, with a menu of affordable meals. Vending machines for drinks and snacks are available 24/7. Nearby dining options within a short walk include Gail's Bakery, Pizzicotto, and Byron on Kensington High Street. The hostel does not have a guest kitchen, so all meals must be purchased on site or from local eateries.

Wellness facilities include a public bath (additional charge) and an outdoor garden with picnic areas and terrace seating. Holland Park itself provides extensive green space, woodland walks, and a wildlife pond - ideal for jogging, yoga, or relaxing. On-site leisure amenities include table tennis, billiards, and a games room (both with additional charges). The shared lounge/TV area and garden offer space for socialising or working.

The 24-hour front desk can assist with late check-ins, luggage storage (£2 per item), and selling padlocks (£4), towels (£5.50), and travel essentials. Laundry services are available at an additional charge (£3 per cycle). Daily housekeeping is free and includes bin emptying and sweeping; linen is changed only between guests. For safety, the property has 24-hour security, CCTV, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers, and key card access to rooms and external gates. A shared lounge/TV area with vending machines (drinks/snacks) is open 24/7. Business facilities include fax/photocopying (fee). Children are not allowed in dormitories but family rooms are available. No lift is present; stairs are narrow on upper floors.
