CATALONIA SAGRADA FAMILIA, Barcelona

The Catalonia Sagrada Familia hotel is just 300 m from Clot Metro and Train Station (L1 line), which connects to the city centre in four stops and provides a direct train to and from the airport. The hotel is also within a 5-minute walk of Encants Metro station and the Torre Agbar tower. A taxi rank sits outside the door, and the surrounding streets are home to many cafés, restaurants and supermarkets. The area is safe to explore on foot even at night, and the beach is about 30 minutes away on foot or a short bus ride.

Single and Double rooms (13 m2 and 18 m2) are functional with parquet floors, desk, air conditioning, minibar and a private bathroom; some are on the smaller side. Premium rooms (18.5 m2) are recently renovated in dark tones and include a kettle with tea and coffee. Superior rooms (29 m2) offer a modern bathroom with rain shower, bathrobes and slippers, plus a welcome pack. The Junior Suite (34 m2) is the largest, featuring a separate living area, king bed, Nespresso machine and pillow chart. Most road-facing rooms can be noisy; pool-facing or internal rooms are quieter. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, a safe, hairdryer, and a TV with Chromecast. Rooms with a balcony are not available, though some Superior and Junior Suite units have a small terrace.

The daily buffet breakfast offers a wide selection of hot and cold dishes, including cooked-to-order eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, local cheeses, gluten-free and vegetarian options, plus freshly squeezed orange juice. It operates from 07:00 to 10:30 on weekdays and 07:30 to 11:00 on weekends. Room service brings Mediterranean and Japanese options (sushi, miso soup, yakisoba) from 07:00 to 23:00. The Gastrobar serves international and Mediterranean dishes, cocktails and snacks from 10:30 to 23:00. The area around the hotel has many cafés and restaurants for alternative dining.

The outdoor pool is open all year (weather permitting) and comes with sun loungers and pool/beach towels. It is not heated. The gym is free for all guests and includes treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes and a weight-lifting station. No spa is available on site.

All rooms benefit from free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and heating. The 24-hour front desk can provide local information, car hire and tour assistance. Guests can use luggage storage on the day of arrival and up to midnight on check-out day. Laundry and ironing are available at an additional charge. The hotel has a lift, key card access and safety deposit boxes. A meeting room (Formigal Room, capacity 35 people) can be booked with catering and audiovisual equipment.
