Saint James Backpackers offers accommodations ranging from 4, 6, and 8-bed dorm rooms to private rooms. Dorm rooms feature shelving for luggage storage. A sink is available in some dorm rooms. Each guest in the 8-bed dorm has a coat hanger and under-bed locker. Private rooms include double beds, 32-inch LCD TVs, wardrobes, and garden views. Private en suite shower rooms with two single beds also offer a fridge and garden view. Private rooms with double beds feature in-room sinks and wardrobes, with views of either the garden or the front of the building. A private room with a double bunk bed provides a front-house street view. Bathrooms on the first and second floor have several toilets and showers available for all guests. A female-only shared bathroom is located in the basement.

A full English cooked breakfast is available and includes bacon, eggs, toast, coffee, tea, breakfast cereals, milk, plus apple and orange juice. Guests can prepare meals in the communal kitchen and store food in provided cupboards, refrigerators, and freezers. A communal meal is cooked in the kitchen every day between 6:00 PM and 7:30 PM. The dining room provides spots for eating, socializing, working, and studying. Complimentary coffee, tea, and sugar are provided.

The living room includes a sofa, TV with Sky channels, board games, and books. A chill-out area features a 65-inch TV. A guitar is available at reception. The garden includes outdoor tables. A small outdoor gym is available, with a waiver to sign at reception. A big Garden is available for guests to socialize and spend time with other people.

From Stansted Airport, the Terravision bus A50 service goes towards Victoria Station. Brompton Road, with pubs and restaurants, including The Troubadour music venue, is a one-minute walk. Hyde Park is a 30-minute walk or a short tube ride. Kensington Gardens is a 20-minute walk. Holland Park, featuring its Kyoto Garden, is 15 minutes away.

The hostel provides adequate supervisors for the control, monitoring and protection of the children throughout their entire stay. Luggage can be stored for free prior to check-in.
