Hotel Details

Location

Situated in the heart of Asakusa, just a 5-minute walk from Senso-ji Temple and a 7-minute stroll from Nakamise Street.
Asakusa Station is a 12-15 minute walk away, providing direct subway access to Ueno, Akihabara, and Roppongi. Tokyo Sky Tree is a 3-minute train ride from Asakusa Station. The immediate area is packed with restaurants, shops, a 24-hour Don Quijote, and convenience stores such as Family Mart and Lawson, all within a 1-5 minute walk. The walk to the station is through a lively, safe neighbourhood that remains active even late at night.

Accommodation

Rooms range from private twin/triple/family units to 6-8 bed dormitories, all with shared bathrooms and air conditioning.
All accommodation features shared toilets and showers located on each floor-private bathrooms are not available. Dormitory beds come with privacy curtains, individual reading lights, and personal safes or lockers. Rooms are air-conditioned with heating, though some spaces have limited windows and ventilation can be stuffy. Bunk beds are metal-framed and may shake with movement; light sleepers may find road-facing or high-traffic rooms noisier. Several private rooms include a washing machine and a terrace with city views, and upper floors are accessible by lift. The family room can accommodate up to 5 or 6 people in bunk beds and can be booked as a private unit.

Dining

A complimentary breakfast buffet is served from 5:00 to 11:00, offering toast with spreads, soup, coffee, tea, and milk.
The breakfast is a self-service affair with unlimited toast, butter, jam or marmalade, a daily soup (often a light vegetable broth), plus hot coffee, tea, and milk. For a small additional fee (approximately ¥350), scrambled eggs can be ordered. The cafe bar also serves snacks, drinks, and a wide selection of beers throughout the day. There is no restaurant on site, but the area is densely packed with dining options; numerous restaurants, including a highly rated ramen shop, are within a 1-5 minute walk. No vegan menu is available at breakfast.

Wellness and Leisure

The hostel provides a shared lounge with TV, DVD player, and video games, plus board games and a terrace.
For leisure, the common area is the main social hub, featuring a TV, DVD player, and a selection of video games and board games. Outdoor furniture, a sun terrace, and a picnic area are available on site. The property also offers ski storage for winter sports. There is no pool, spa, or gym at the hostel. Themed dinner nights and tours about local culture are organised at an additional charge, and the concierge can help recommend and book local trips and activities.

Facilities and Services

Free Wi-Fi in all areas, a fully equipped shared kitchen, coin-operated laundry, and free luggage storage are available.
The front desk operates 24 hours, offering currency exchange, locker storage (locks can be bought at reception), and a tour desk for activity planning. A free-use kitchen is stocked with appliances, kettles, and basic cookware, and the shared lounge provides a PC with internet. Laundry facilities (washer and dryer) are available for a fee. A vending machine for drinks and a designated smoking area are on site. The property is non-smoking throughout, has key card access, CCTV, 24-hour security, and a safety deposit box. Bicycle rentals are available at a nearby Family Mart. Fax/photocopying services are available for an extra charge.

Top Strategic Tips

  • 01

Request a room away from the stairwell and main corridors if you are sensitive to noise, as bunk beds shake with movement and doors are loud.

  • 02

Plan to use the free luggage storage if you arrive before 13:00 check-in or after 11:00 check-out, to explore Asakusa without bags.

  • 03

Bring your own padlock for the lockers, or purchase one at reception, as lockers are provided without locks.

  • 04

Factor in the 12-15 minute walk to Asakusa Station when planning your daily itinerary; the nearest bus stops are 3-4 minutes away.
